Lauren Rooyakkers (she/her) is a registered psychotherapist. She offers an open and safe environment to explore issues with adults and adolescents. Areas of her practice include:

Assessment and Therapy

From the onset, Lauren emphasizes that each person is the expert in their wellness journey. While Lauren brings education, experience, and a commitment to ongoing professional development to her work, she holds space to be flexible and adaptable to the client’s needs in the therapeutic relationship. Collaboration and curiosity are important in conversations with her clients.

She is dedicated to walking alongside her clients on this path, providing support and insight as they navigate the process together.

Lauren uses a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework, as well as incorporating a range of therapeutic approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (parts work), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB). She works individually with adults and adolescents, appreciating the unique challenges and rewards of each journey.

Lauren is supervised by registered Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Erin Ross (Registration #5422; The College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario).

Education/Experience

Lauren has a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Guelph and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She has been providing therapy and support to youth and adults for the past 8  years. She previously worked at the Huron Community Family Health Team. Lauren is a member of good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario (CRPO; Registration #008045).

Fees

Therapy services are $120 per hour payable by e-transfer or credit card. Receipt provided. Services are covered by many extended health benefit packages.
